The Customer\u2019s Challenge<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tFSD develops innovative testing technologies for vehicle inspections, vehicle diagnostics and safety inspections.\r\n\r\nControl units in vehicles issue error messages. The associated error descriptions and designations<\/strong> vary<\/strong> from manufacturer to manufacturer.<\/span>\r\n\r\nThe ZZ Tool<\/strong> (status allocation tool) was a tool that FSD already had in use to allocate between manufacturer fault descriptions and FSD\u2019s generic fault descriptions<\/strong>. This allocation process was previously done completely manually.<\/span>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThe objective is to support the allocation<\/strong> through the use of artificial intelligence<\/strong> in the future.<\/span>\r\n\r\nThere\u00a0 was already a collaboration agreement with a third-party contractor for this purpose. To enable the work with artificial intelligence, FSD needed<\/strong> a data integration service<\/strong> for provisioning and processing<\/strong> in the context of its existing tool set.<\/span>\r\n\r\nWithout that interface, it would not be possible to work with and evaluate the AI suggestions in practice.<\/span>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The Avantgarde Labs solution<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tAvantgarde Labs was engaged during the current project <\/strong> to develop an interface<\/strong> that could import the available AI suggestions into the ZZ Tool and make them usable.\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\nModifications in the processing and frontend of the existing ZZ Tool were implemented so that the AI suggestions could be used directly by the FSD staff<\/strong>. AI suggestions displayed can be selected and\/or allocated to the respective fault descriptions.\u00a0<\/span>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tFurthermore, it is also possible to export data in the correct format at the push of a button to train the AI solution and thereby iteratively improve the AI solution<\/strong>.<\/span>\r\n\r\nIn addition,\u00a0 improvements to the UX<\/strong> were made in the existing tool, such as the ability to add filters, short-cut functions and also display improvements, to simplify the FSD staff\u2019s work.<\/span>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThe development of the interface allowed the AI suggestions to be utilized and the previous manual allocation process to be semi-automated. This function greatly minimizes the<\/strong> <\/span>amount of searching<\/b> required between manufacturer fault descriptions and suitable FSD generic fault descriptions.\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\nIt was only as a result of the fast deployment of the interface<\/strong> that FSD was able to use and also evaluate the AI suggestions of the third-party contractor.<\/span>\r\n\r\nFeedback concerning the existing AI suggestions leads to an <\/span>ongoing adaptation and improvement of the AI suggestions<\/b>.\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\nAfter completion of the project, Avantgarde Labs<\/strong>\u00a0was engaged to develop a new ZZ Tool<\/strong> because the existing tool had grown historically and needed to be given a modern architecture through redevelopment.<\/span>\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nSee these projects as well:<\/span>\r\n\r\nOTX Ninja at FSD<\/a> for automated creation of test procedures\r\n\r\nODX Ninja at FSD<\/a>\u00a0– standardization of the entire data pool for vehicle diagnostics data\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\"Together with Avantgarde Labs, we developed two phases for the redesign of the ZZ Tool. The first phase was a small modification of the existing ZZ Tool, which was implemented quickly and easily.\r\n\r\nCurrently, a complete redevelopment of the ZZ tool is being carried out and implemented by Avantgarde Labs.
